Week 2 Sample Blog Post

These three pictures reminded me of the patterns that can be recreated on stage when using gobos in a leko. I really like the diagonal streaks that are created by the sunlight shining through the cracks in my blinds. It's a great visual of sunlight creeping in, even when you attempt to keep out the exterior source of light.

The second picture shows the shape and shadow of the tree outside despite the blinds being closed.  I thought it was inspirational because it's showing a rather unsuccessful barrier between an exterior world and an interior world. The shadow of the tree also was moving as the wind rustled the leaves, which was quite mesmerizing to watch.

The third one I took is when I was driving out of my complex and the shadow on the garage from the tree was so awesome and large it made the tree so much more striking. Sunlight, nature and settings would be fun to light with Gobo patterns, different lights and creative angles. Despite being a normal, average realistic day, these photos still have a mystical lively quality to them.  Creativity can be found in even the most average locations.
